This is quite the veggie box. Can't wait to see it later when it's packed full of growing veggies. I have a feeling it'll look really beautiful.

I want to build some raised beds. Can't I borrow your apprentice and does it take more than pizza and beer to keep him motivated?

Really like the way your box came out. It looks sturdy and big enough to grow some huge veggies.

I love it! My hubby "finally" gave in and we built three new raised beds last weekend for my veggie garden. I told him anything less than 6 beds was just my own personal snack patch and that there would be no tomatoes or strawberries for him! I look forward to "seeing" your garden grow this spring and summer!

Mostly dirt... a but when ever I do potted plants or veggie boxes, I sometimes will add grass clippings, newspaper, plant debris, etc. Layers never hurt in such a deep planter.

Yes, and those dimensions took one and a half yards of soil exactly. It will settle a bit but pretty perfect. I did a mix of two types of compost, nitro-shavings and top soil...
You can also staple a band of copper around the inside edge if you have snail issues.

Okay, it looks like it does not get any easier that this. We have been wanting a veggie bed in the back garden for awhile. We will have to try it out. Question...so do you fill up the entire box with soil? Matti
