Thank Jean, I’m going to have clearer pictures and examples in the coming weeks of those frames. The one in the video is really big and will be for an installation at a local restaurant in Half Moon Bay.
Oh, and the video’s will be less schizophrenic at some point… Thanks for indulging me!
Enjoyed the video. I’ve seen these sucullent frames a few times and really admired them. The truth is, I’m basically way to lazy to make or maintain one. Good luck.
Oh Jenn…take it from a 53 year old garden blogger, it’s not all downhill. To be 28 again. Actually to be 28 and have all the wisdom I’ve gained along the way. Enjoy being young.
And as for your succulents, I love them, my mom was doing them like 40 years ago, when we lived in So.Calif. Succulents are like little sculptures and make you look good as a gardener.
Techincal question, the moss on the frame doesn’t rot their crowns?
Hang in there.
I find myself returning to your internet site because you have numerous outstanding insights and you have been at this a very long time, which is very exciting and tells me you know your stuff.
I really like your succulent frames. I didn’t realize that they would stay alive that long like that. Beautiful.

BTW, loved the photo of the Venice window.

I’m not exactly sure what you are making but it does look most interesting.
I just googled it and now understand, really neat. I look forward to hearing more about your projects.:)
Yes, I like to keep the mystery alive…
I look forward to seeing the finished project. Very cool!
You are correct. IT IS ALL DOWNHILL FROM HERE. Enjoy your 20s while you can.

Thanks for the sage advise, Rhonda!
I use sheet moss, so no it doesn’t rot the crown. Plus I keep them in warm areas and water very sparingly. They seem to be very happy.
Cheers!
