LOL. The wonders of Akismet spam-catcher. I never see any of that stuff.
Maybe I am new enough not to get any, but so far, none getting through the spamblock. Sorry for you though. How sucky.
I get about 1000 spam messages a day. It gets automatically filtered into a ‘Junk’ file. I don’t look through the contents, just bin it. Filters are not 100% accurate, and some stuff gets inevitably gets filed as junk, and binned, that I ought to see. Just too bad.
I’ve very occasionally recieved messages from other people, and messages I’ve sent them have been incorrectly identifed by their filters as ‘junk’. It’s just a matter of luck that they were seen. Goodness knows how many messages are ‘lost’.
Incidentally, I tried to make a longer reply, but, the first time, your system gave a message ‘Your reply looks spammy. Try again.’!
I also use Akismet. WordPress is awesome
We’ve got Akismet as well and it is perfect. I do look through the spams just to see what they are up to. What I find more annoying are the commercial blogs that pick up your posts and plug them into their blog just because you used a particular word. No permission, nada. a link back and that’s it. And not always where you’d like to be, either. Then there are the spams with hundreds of words that are just gobble-de-gook linking to things I don’t even want to know.
I don’t get spam. However, I do get a lot of email from Nigerian widows with millions of dollars they need to shift out of the country! I hope they do it soon, because my bank account seems to be empty no matter how much I pay in. Still, happy days when they give me my $10 million slice!

Hee hee, spam is my life. I work for an IT company and I perform server maintenance which is a fancy way to say I clean out their spam folders and make sure there isn’t any good stuff in them. Top spam subjects are Viagra, Russian ladies and watches. Guys are so gullible. Going to go add you to my following list now!

I have a bunch of Viagra, but who can forget the card game winning technique, a technique that if I tell “anyone” about it (oh yes it is that amazing,) the spammer will apparently have to f****** kill me!
