Strickly gratuitous

Nothing pithy or dynamic to write about. Just some pictures of ridiculously gorgeous flowers growing in my garden… and a chicken or two.

  1. Oh, I have chick envy! I missed raising them this year (we really didn’t need to build yet ANOTHER coop). Maybe next spring though. They’re just so gosh darned cute! You’ll have a blast with them I’m sure, congrats! :)

  2. I’ve been loving hanging out with them after work. I make a little towel donut and we hang out on the couch watching trashy reality tv. I’m teaching them the important things in life! :)

peeps as starlets! i love it.

  4. Great photos! I am especially fond of the chicks. Is that your hair in the bottom photos? The colors are a nice blend of those in the other pics.

  5. Ha! If that was my hair I’d need a serious conditioner… it’s Mexican feather grass tripping out in the wind.

  6. Beautiful flowers you have growing girl! And love your new chick and his ass! hahaha!

  7. Wow! That love-in-a-mist is stunning. Is the plant name Nigella damascena? It’s totally on my list now.

AH! I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!! *high 5* YES!!! Got room for more??? ;) S. purpurea ssp. purpurea is what it looks to be. I see the Gunnera in the back too in that last shot. That love in a mist is awesome! And oh my, HAWT chicks too!

  10. Jen Honey, those are awfully pretty flowers. Gratuitous? I don’t think so.l~~Dee

  11. Beautiful photos Jenn!

I have chicken envy! My oldest daughter is raising them for the first time this year, so I’ll get to enjoy them vicariously.

  12. nice, good luck on your grand-chicken babies!

  13. Ha! Yep, figured you’d like that.

What should I fertilize the carnivorous with??

  14. Ahoi there, always enjoy reading your blog posts. Keep up the great Work!

  15. Rob

Oh, no need for fertilizer! They’ll catch their own! You could actually kill them with fertilizer. They have adapted to poor soils, so no need for fertilizer. Lookin’ good there homie! Lookin’ good!

  16. awesome, this is such a wonderful website!!!!!Thank you so much
