I bet National Geographic photogs think they really have it rough. Taking dramatics pictures of lions stalking their prey in South Africa. Stealing gorgeous underwater images of penguins ascending in the ocean of Antarctica. Or capturing exotic photographs of the everyday life of nomads in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. I have three simple letters for them: BFD.
Readers, blog photography isn’t the piece of cake it looks like it is! (Although, maybe it would be a bit easier with a piece of cake… like delicious lemon cake, or even a cupcake. I would take pound cake for that matter.)
To prove my waste of time theory, here is a photo-log of my trials and tribulations of trying to take just one picture of the darling pansy growing through a crack on my driveway. Alas, my mangy mutts got in the way. Foiling my efforts yet again! Until the last picture, when they left, but it still came out blurry and I decided to quit being a pansy paparazzi. You won this round (again, see this past post) Nat Geo assholes!

OMG that is the funniest set of pics I’ve seen in a long time. I can empathize with you at the number of photos we take to get a good one…TG for digital cameras cuz I would owe a kidney for the amount of money spent getting film developed. Cute pooches BTW. Matti
Well, I’ve already sold my kidney for annie’s annuals money, so I’d be SOL.
At least chickens didn’t eat the subject material
I have some shots with nothing but chicken butt feathers as they run off the plant I was shooting! I think dogs and chickens are in a cahoots when it comes to blog photography LOL.
Hahaha! Omg I love dogs- even when they create chaos!
Oh gosh, too funny. Our dogs are the same way. I put them inside when I want to take photos. Ditto re the digital camera. If I were shooting film, I’d have been bankrupt long ago!
I am so happy to finally be able to catch up on all of your blogs!
By the looks of things, I believe the pansies were in cahoots with the dogs; they just needed a little more primping time to get perfectly pretty for the camera, so the mangy mutts accommodated : )
BTW, I love the shot of the pansies through pups paws.
OMG it’s like when my kids were little. Everytime I got on the phone he acting like little shits! Drove me nuts. Your pics are so funny…even though you may not think so. At one point it looks like one of them was stepping on the pansy! LOL
I have five dogs and always have to make sure I don’t include piles of dog crap in my blog photos because child #2 hasn’t scooped yet. I once had to crop out a shot of a pooping dog from one of my pictures. Very cute pansies, even cuter dogs!
Nice! Cropping poop…
Ha, pansy paparazzi! It’s like trying to read a book with a cat on the bed. Love the flowers pushing up through concrete cracks, always, canines or no.
