In my neighborhood the botanical post-apocalypse will be populated with Mexican feather grass, pink evening primrose, black mustard, and just about every species in my neighbor’s garden that tries to escape under the fence into my garden. Even all the registered plant-death offenders will be powerless to do anything about it. Resistance, futile.

I find the notion of a serial tree stabber rather unsettling personally. I admit I’ve committed involuntary plant-slaughter. This year my victim was Salvia ‘Winifred Gilman’ and her identical siblings. I’m happy to say I’ve now somewhat redeemed myself, and have two of them thriving and blooming since figuring out the error of my ways.

As for Zombie plants, the plants that could survive a nuclear attack, I have to add Toxicodendron diversilobum, and Umbellularia californica. Nothing can kill them, NOTHING, not even a serial tree stabber LOL
