Accomplished horticulturist, head of the Golden Gate Park Nursery (and recently Conservatory of Flowers), George Vaughan is my favorite plantsmen.
We are plant dorks that go way back (via the small town clique that is Half Moon Bay) and today, he was generous enough to treat me to a behind-the-scenes tour of the private Golden Gate Nursery. We chatted plants, talked shop and swapped plant-cuttings-stolen-from-other-countries stories.
